A tourist whose husband fell ill during a trip around Ireland has appealed for the return of their stolen camera with "invaluable" photographs of the two of them together.

On Friday, the couple's trip took a tragic turn when the woman's husband fell ill on a CIE Tours Bus in Waterford. He was taken to Cork University Hospital where he remains in the ICU.

Dooley's hotel, who took to their Facebook page to share the woman's plea for help, confirmed that the man "will sadly not survive".

The woman's camera, a large Canon Rebel DSLR was stolen from the bus while the ill man was being attended to. The camera contains the "last photos" of the couple on their holiday in Ireland together.

The woman is pleading for whoever has the camera to return the memory stick with the photographs to either their local Garda station or anonymously to the ICU in Cork University Hospital.
