Over €60,000 in cash was seized and two men have been arrested at Dublin Airport.

The two Romanian men, both aged in their 30s, were separately boarding a flight to Budapest at 6am yesterday morning before being stopped and questioned by Revenue officers.

€63,750 was found in two separate cases being carried by the men.

The cash was seized by Revenue suspected to be either the proceeds of, or intended for use in, criminal activity.

Judge Anthony Halpin ruled this morning to detain the two men for three months to allow Revenue to investigate further.
