Man (20s) rushed to hospital after stabbing in estate

A man has been rushed to hospital after he was stabbed during a row in housing estate this evening.

It is understood that a fight broke between a group of young men in the Woodview Park area of Dundalk shortly before 7.25pm.

Gardaí were called to the scene after receiving reports.

One man, who is in his 20s, suffered knife injuries and was taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The scene has been sealed off and forensic examinations are being carried out.

A portion of the Castletown Road has been closed off.
