High-end car parts, cigarettes and champagne found during garda raids

Gardaí have recovered the car parts of at least five high end vehicles during the search of containers in West Dublin.
As part of Operation Waste officers have also uncovered 200,000 cigarettes and over 100 bottles of champagne.
In a statement, gardaí confirmed: "An Garda Siochana in conjunction with Dublin City Council and Revenue Custom Services are involved in an ongoing operation today searching a number of containers at a storage yard in City West.
"During the course of this search a large amount of stolen vehicle parts were discovered."
At this early stage officers say it is difficult to put a value on the car parts.
"But gardaí are confident they have located the component parts of at least five high end vehicles, along with other vehicle parts yet to be identified."
Approiximately 200,000 cigarettes and 19 bales of tobacco with an estimated value of €130,000 were also found along with over 100 bottles of champagne and a small sum of cash.
A 27-year-old man is being questioned at Tallaght Garda station.
