Four people hospitalised and one man arrested following stabbing incident

A man has been arrested after four people were hospitalised following a stabbing incident in Co Limerick.

One man sustained stab injuries while three other people were injured in the incident.

It happened at around 7pm on Friday outside a house in Scanlon Park, Castleconnell.

The injuries sustained by the four people are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardaí confirmed that a man is currently being detained at Henry Street garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The stab victim is believed to be in his early 30s, while the man arrested is in his 20s.
