Cream of international talent in town for the Guinness Cork Jazz festival

THE GUINNESS Cork Jazz Festival returns to the Cork Opera House from Saturday October 29 to Monday October 31 with an array of top acts, highlighting some of the finest talents from Australia, New York, Iceland and Chicago.

Along with some of the finest international acts on offer each night, Cork Opera House will host some of the finest DJs for some late-night entertainment front of house, including the legendary DJs Angie and Eddie Kay.

Other attractions include Harlem Gospel Choir, Karen Underwood and Band, Amina and Australian comedian Tim Minchin.

Bay City Rollers to rock the Helix

LES McKEOWN'S Legendary Bay City Rollers will play the Helix Theatre, Dublin, on Thursday, October 27 and follow it up with a concert in the Bridge House, Tullamore, Co Offaly on Sunday, October 30.

With over 300 million albums sold worldwide, Les McKeown was the voice on every Bay City Rollers hit. The band had unprecedented success with No 1 singles in over 40 countries, including Shang-a-Lang, Summer Love Sensation and the unforgettable Bye Bye Baby.

Station House Hotel tops wedding list

THE Station House Hotel has been awarded 'Best Wedding Venue in Meath' by the members of weddingdates.ie.

"We are delighted to even be considered for such a great award," said Sarah Kelly, wedding coordinator at the hotel in Kilmessan, Co Meath.

"Meath has such a wealth of stunning wedding venues and to be ranked at the top is a major achievement, we would like to take the opportunity to thank our customers and of course the team in the Station House Hotel without whom this award would not have been possible," she said.
