Mary Weldon (43) claimed she was injured when she fell over as she attended the funeral of her husband's grandmother.

Mrs Weldon from Balbriggan, Co Dublin, sued Fingal County Council as a result of the fall four years ago in the Balbriggan graveyard.

It was claimed the council was responsible as owner when Mrs Weldon was a visitor to the Balbriggan graveyard on the day of the funeral September 25, 2010.

The council denied the claims.

Mrs Weldon told the court there were about 20 people at the funeral and they were walking to the graveside when her foot twisted and she fell down.

The case began on Thursday and when it resumed today, Ms Justice Mary Irvine was told it has been settled.
