A WOMAN who claims she has been left disabled after an alleged delay in her medical care has sued two Dublin hospitals in the High Court.
Barbora Bello Osagie (30), St Mochta's Lawn, Clonsilla, Dublin, says she waited for over five hours in unrelenting back pain at the Mater Hospital A&E during the Christmas period of 2010 and waited for another two hours when she was readmitted in the early hours, it has been claimed.
When she was also admitted and examined at St James's Hosptal in Dublin, she claimed there was a six hour wait until she was reviewed by an orthopaedic registrar and then transferred to the Mater for an MRI scan and an operation, which she says would have been successful if it been done earlier.
The defendants deny all the claims.
