Woman (42) pleads not guilty to murder of 32-year-old man last year

A jury has been sworn in for the trial of a 42-year-old woman accused of murdering a 32-year-old man in Louth last year.

Paula Farrell with an address at Rathmullen Park, Drogheda, Co Louth is charged with murdering Wayne McQuillan (32) on January 1, 2014.

Today at the Central Criminal Court, Ms Farrell pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr McQuillan.

This morning, Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy told the jury of five men and seven women the trial is expected to last two-and-a-half weeks and will begin in evidence on Wednesday morning.
