JAB DECISION DELAYED
AN expert group has postponed making a decision on whether to recommend that the new meningitis B jab be given free to babies.
The National Immunisation Advisory Committee met yesterday to discuss the possible introduction of the vaccine. It expects to be able to send recommendations to the Department of Health before its next meeting in May. Irish meningitis support groups have called for an urgent decision.
