A MAN in his 20s is due to appear in court today in relation to the tiger kidnapping of All-Ireland winning hurler Adrian Ronan and his family in November 2009.
Mr Ronan, a bank official became the victim of a criminal gang who threatened his wife and three children as he took cash from the bank where he works.
The tiger-kidnappers raided his family home on November 3 2009 and took his wife hostage while he took ransom money from the Bank of Ireland in Kilkenny city.
The plot fell apart when the gang of at least three armed and masked men became spooked and did not show up at a drop-off point.
Gardai arrested a man in north Dublin today and he will appear at Kilkenny District Court charged in relation to false imprisonment.
