Three Polish nationals appear in court following €20k cannabis seizure

Three Polish nationals have appeared in court on drugs charges following the seizure of €20,000 worth of cannabis plants.
Jacek Sroczynski, aged 35, Lucas Fratczak, aged 27, and Pawel Mazurek, aged 31, with different addresses at Moy Close, Ballymahon, were each accused of cultivating cannabis plants on August 3.
A special sitting of Sligo District Court heard the offences were alleged to have occurred at house rented by all three men in Moy Close in the Co Longford town.
Mazurek replied ‘nothing to say’ when charged on Tuesday night, the court heard.
It was alleged that Sroczynski had replied ‘I’m sorry’ when he was charged while Fratczak had made no reply.
Mazurek was remanded in custody to Harristown District Court this Friday with consent to personal cash bail of €2,500 and an independent surety of €1,000 cash.
Fratczak and Sroczynski were also remanded in custody to the same court this Friday with consent to bail of €1,000 cash and independent sureties of €1,000 cash.
All three men were ordered to surrender their passports and national identity cards.
