Three people appear in court charged with human trafficking and theft offences

Two men and a woman have appeared in court charged in connection with alleged theft and human trafficking offences.

The three people appeared before Meath district court this afternoon.

In a statement, gardaí confirmed that the males, aged 41 and 58, and a 41-year-old woman were charged with both Human Trafficking and Theft offences.

The charges relate to an investigation into the alleged false imprisonment that occurred at Castletown, Kilpatrick, Navan, County Meath on August 18.

The 58 year old male was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on January 24 and the second man was remanded on bail to appear before Trim District Court February 28.

The 41 year old female was remanded on bail to appear before Trim District Court on January 24.
