THREE men are to appear in court in connection with a brutal early morning assault, writes Tom Brady.
The suspects, aged 19, 32 and 55, were arrested by gardai hours after the attack at Seville Place in Dublin's north inner city on Monday morning.
The 41-year-old victim was treated at the Mater Hospital for a broken collar bone and ribs.
The three men were charged with the assault on Monday night at Store Street station after questioning and were then released on bail to appear later before Dublin District Court.
Gardai are trying to establish if there is a link between the assault and a shooting minutes earlier in Swords when a man was shot after being chased through his home.
