Three men to appear at special court sitting after attempted cash-in-transit van robbery
Three men are expected to appear before a special court sitting this evening charged in connection with an attempted robbery.
The special sitting comes after three men were arrested and a firearm was recovered following a Garda operation in Dunboyne, Co Meath.
Gardaí intercepted the men, described as "high level targets", during the course of a cash in transit robbery outside a bank in the town.
Two men were arrested at the scene and another was arrested a short distance away.
All three are aged in their thirties.
The operation was lead by the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and involved a number of Garda units, including the Special Crime Task Force.
The three men are due at Trim District Court at 7.30pm on Sunday evening.
