Teenager (15) charged in connection with murder of Lorcan O'Reilly

A teenager is to appear in court this morning charged in connection with the brutal Halloween murder of a 21-year-old man last year.

A garda spokesman confirmed that the youth was charged at Kevin Street garda station.

He is scheduled to appear before Dublin District Court 55,  in Smithfielfd at 10.30am

The youth, who has close links to gangster 'Fat' Freddie Thompson, was arrested yesterday morning and detained at Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

He had been questioned by detectives at the Dublin station in relation to the stabbing of Lorcan O'Reilly in the Oliver Bond flats complex in Dublin.

Mr O'Reilly was stabbed to death at the at 2.45am on November 1 when he tried to break up a fight.
