A TEENAGER who allegedly shot at two men with an "improvised firearm" during the Smithfield horse fair could face "more serious charges", writes Tom Tuite.
The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be identified because he is a juvenile, had been charged last week at the Dublin Children's Court, also located in Smithfield, Dublin.
He is accused of violent disorder and unlawful possession of an "improvised firearm" in connection with the incident on March 6 last.
He appeared in court again yesterday, where Judge John Lindsay was told that the State needed directions from the DPP.
Earlier the court had heard that "further more serious charges" could be brought against the teen.
Two men were wounded after being shot in the hip and leg and another male was injured from a slash hook at the monthly market in the city centre.
