Stab murder probe nearly complete

THE investigation into the murder of a German student who was stabbed outside his apartment block is nearing completion.
At the opening of the inquest into the death of Thomas Heinrich (22), from Munich, at Dublin Coroner's Court, Detective Inspector Sean Campbell said that a file was being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions and was at an "advanced stage".
Mr Heinrich, a media student who was living at the Herberton Apartments on St Anthony's Road in Rialto, Dublin 8, died after he was stabbed in an altercation on December 1 last.
Coroner Dr Brian Farrell adjourned the inquest for further mention on June 4.
