TRAGIC Sonia Blount went on just three dates with the man who is believed to have killed her.
The mum-of-one was strangled with a scarf.
It is understood Sonia (30) was killed in a jealous rage after she ended a brief relationship with the man two weeks ago.
Sources close to the investigation say they believe Sonia was stalked in the weeks before her death by the killer, who could not accept that their brief relationship was over.
The chief suspect is 31 years old and is from Clondalkin.
He presented himself to Store Street Garda Station on Sunday night. He was conveyed to Tallaght Garda Station where he was arrested by gardai and questioned over Sonia’s death.
Sonia’s body was found in the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght on Sunday afternoon.
Cleaning staff found the young mum’s body in a hotel room and immediately alerted gardai.
Sonia’s Opel Astra 05 car was parked just a few yards from the hotel’s entrance and was taken away for forensic examinations.
It is understood she booked into the hotel at 9.45pm on Saturday night.
Earlier she was at a family party celebrating the third birthday of her young son.
