Son charged with Kerry mother's murder misses court
A YOUNG man charged with murdering his mother was not in court today because of illness.
Patrick Dunne (20) of Ballinageragh, Lixnaw, Co Kerry requires psychiatric treatment as an inpatient at the Central Mental Hospital (CMH) in Dundrum, Listowel District Court heard.
He had been due to appear before the court but his solicitor Pat Enright handed in a certificate from the director of the CMH explaining why he wasn't there.
Mr Dunne was charged with the murder of Susan Dunne (62) at Ballinageragh, Lixnaw on or around November 27.
Judge Tim Lucey remanded him in custody by consent to the December 18 sitting of the court but excused his presence on that date also.
