Sean Quinn’s five children get €30k a month expenses
THE five adult children of bankrupt businessman Sean Quinn have been granted almost €30,000 in living expenses for them and their spouses.
Mr Quinn’s only son Sean Quinn Jnr, who is serving three months at Dublin’s Mountjoy prison for contempt of court, will receive €5,273.
Meanwhile his new bride, Karen Woods, has been approved €2,895 a month.
Ms Woods is the latest member of the family to have a receiver appointed over her assets and an injunction is now in place preventing her from dispose of any of her assets below €50m.
High Court judge Mr Justice Peter Kelly has approved €2,995 a month to Brenda Quinn, the youngest of Mr Quinn’s children.
Ciara Quinn and her husband Niall McPartland have been approved €8,184 and Collette Quinn will receive €3,743.
Aoife Quinn and her husband Stephen Kelly will receive €7,775 for August and €5,375 per month after this time.
Receivers have already been appointed over the assets of Aoife, Ciara, Colette, Brenda and Sean Jnr and their cousin Peter Darragh Quinn who was also jailed for three months for contempt but did not turn up in court.
A bench warrant has been issued for his arrest.
As well as Mr Quinn’s children, the accounts of his sons in law, Stephen Kelly and Niall McPartland, have been frozen.
Receivers have also been appointed over the two men’s assets.
