A DUBLIN schoolboy has been charged with possessing €1,300 worth of cannabis.
The 16-year-old is accused of having cannabis for sale or supply at north Dublin suburb, on a September 22 last.
The Dublin Children's Court heard today that “he made no reply” when he was charged.
Judge Ann Ryan also heard it would be alleged that boy had been “stopped and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act, a quantity of cannabis to the value of €1,300 was found in his possession”.
The teenager, who was accompanied to his hearing by his mother, was granted legal aid. He was remanded on bail to appear again in three weeks when he will be expected to enter a plea to the charge.
