Scarred boy (6) gets €17,500
A SIX-year-old boy who was left scarred after he was knocked down by a van when he was three was awarded €17,500 damages yesterday.
Warren Lavelle was playing near his home in Killinarden Heights, Tallaght, Dublin, when the accident happened on July 13, 2008.
Dublin Circuit Civil Court was told that a company van driven by John Connors, also of Killinarden Heights, was in collision with Warren. Judge Jaqueline Linnane said Warren's scar, which is on his head, was still visible and awarded him the damages.
