Retrial date set for man accused of murdering Daniel McAnaspie

A date has been set for the retrial of a man accused of murdering a teenager who was in State care three years ago.

Trevor Noone(25), of WhitestownAvenue, had pleaded not guilty to murdering Daniel McAnaspie (17) at Tolka Valley Park, Blanchardstown on February 26, 2010.

But his trial collapsed earlier this month after his co-accused was acquitted by direction of the judge.

Today, Mr Justice Paul Carney set a new date of October 7, 2014 for Mr Noones trial.

Richard Dekker(27) also ofWhitestownAvenue in Blanchardstown, had pleaded not guilty to the same offence but the jury acquitted him by direction of Mr Justice Paul Butler due to lack of evidence.
