Paul Zambra remanded in connection with firearms seizure

TWO men have been remanded in custody charged in connection with a seizure of firearms and ammunition in Dublin.

Paul Zambra (38) and Anthony Callaghan (44), appeared before a sitting of Dublin District Court in the Criminal Court of Justice this morning.

Both men were arrested during an operation in the Clonshaugh area of north Dublin.

On Friday, members of the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, assisted by the Emergency Response Unit and national units, stopped and searched a car and a van and recovered firearms and ammunition.

Mr Zambra, from Inagh Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10, did not make an application for bail.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Cloverhill District Court this Friday at 10.30am.

Mr Callaghan, Mill Race Road, Phoenix Park Racecourse, Dublin 15, did not make an application for bail.

He will appear before Cloverhill District Court this Wednesday at 10.130am.
