TWO men will today appear in court following the seizure of cannabis plants worth an estimated €1m.

The men, aged in their 30s and 40s, have been held at Ballyfermot garda station in Dublin since they were arrested over the weekend.

Gardai discovered the plants in an industrial building on the Nangor Road last Friday evening.

The investigation was part of Operation Nitrogen, which is led by the garda national drugs unit.

So far, eight people have been charged as a result of the operation.

The two men are due to appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am this morning to be charged in relation to the seizure of the cannabis plants.
