Man charged with false imprisonment of Eva (90)

A young man has appeared in court charged with the false imprisonment of a pensioner last year.
Jamie O’Brien (22), with an address at Hazelwood, Bray, Co Wicklow, appeared before a sitting of Bray District Court at 10:30am yesterday morning.
The defendant is charged with false imprisonment which carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, aw well as serious assault.
He is also charged with burglary during the incident, which is alleged to have happened on the Dublin Road, Bray on the morning of September 10 last year.
Eva Sutton (90) sustained a punctured lung, broken ribs and a broken nose as a result of the incident.
The defendant was remanded in custody, to appear before Cloverhill court on May 11.
