A YOUNG man has been charged with the murder of a 32-year-old electrician.

Kevin Kenny, from O'Hogan Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin, was fatally stabbed on Sarsfield Road, on July 31, 2011.

He received wounds to his upper body, but managed to stagger to a local pub where the alarm was raised. He was then rushed to St James's Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Four males and four females had been held for questioning.

Yesterday morning, Craig O'Halloran (19), from Colepark Road, Ballyfermot, appeared at Dublin District Court charged with Mr Kenny's murder.
