A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at an adventure centre in Tallaght on Sunday.

The man in his  50s was arrested yesterday evening and was detained at Tallaght Garda Station.

He was released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions

On Sunday evening, families with children watched in terror as two masked men burst into Tallaght Adventure World in the Whitestown Business Park just before 6pm on Sunday.

Manager Robbie Doyle bravely fought off the raiders, but was left with a gaping wound in his hand.

One of the raiders was allegedly armed with a long-bladed knife, while the second man had a metal pole.

A third man waited outside in a blue Ford Fiesta.
