Man (57) to go on trial over murder of 39-year-old flatmate

A 57-year-old man is due to go on trial tomorrow morning, charged with murdering a 39-year-old man in Limerick almost two years ago.

Arnis Labunskis, with an address at Wolfe Tone Street in the city is accused of murdering Dainius Burba at that address on 21 or 22 April, 2015.

He was arraigned before the Central Criminal Court yesterday and pleaded not guilty.

A jury of three women and nine men was sworn in to hear the case, which begins today and is expected to last until the end of next week.
