Man (33) charged in connection with the seizure of cannabis herb worth €120,000
A 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with the seizure of cannabis herb with an estimated value of €120,000.
The man was due to appear before the District Court, Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon.
Two other men (aged 30 and 41), were also arrested but they have been released from Garda custody without charge.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Yesterday, gardai seized the drugs when they searched two vehicles at Cloghran, Dublin at around 2pm.
The three men were detained at Raheny and Coolock Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
A garda spokesperson said: "These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks."
"Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality."
