Man (32) charged with double murder after arrest at Dublin Airport

A 32-YEAR-OLD man has been remanded in custody charged in relation to a double murder in County Louth four years ago.
Jason O’Driscoll with an address at Richmond Avenue, Dublin 3 is accused of murdering Joseph Redmond and Anthony Burnett on the 7th March 2012.
The murders are said to have taken place at Ravensdale Park, Dromad, County Louth.
Dundalk District Court heard that Mr O’Driscoll was arrested at Dublin Airport at 12.24 yesterday morning by detective inspector Pat Marry Dundalk on foot of two arrest warrants.
Det Insp Marry told Judge Conal Gibbons that at 1.35 am this morning, he was formally charged with the murders.
Mr O’Driscoll made no reply.
Det Inspector Marry applied for the accused to be remanded in custody and this was consented to.
Legal aid was granted and the case was adjourned to Cloverhill District Court on the 15th June.
