Man (32) charged in connection with seizure of heroin in Dublin yesterday

A 32-year-old man has been charged in connection with the seizure of heroin with a street value of €140,000 in Dublin yesterday.
He will appear before Dun Laoghaire District Court today at 10.30am.
Gardai stopped a car just off Sandymount Road, Dundrum, Dublin 14 yesterday and the car was searched.
Around one kilo of heroin was discovered.
A 32-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl who were in the car were arrested and taken to Blackrock Garda station where they were detained under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice( Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
During a follow up search of a house at Ballyogan Green, Carrickmines another kilo of heroin with a street value of €140,000 was discovered.
The girl has since been released, with a file being prepared for the DPP.
