Man (29) appears in court charged with murder of Michael Barr at Sunset House pub

A 29-year-old man has appear in court this morning charged with the murder of Michael Barr in north Dublin last month.

Eamonn Cumberton, with an address at Mountjoy Street in  Dublin 7, appeared before a brief sitting at Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.

Garda sergeant Brian Delaney gave evidence of the arrest and charge of Mr Cumberton.

The court heard that the accused made no response to the murder charge.

An application for legal aid was made and granted.

The court heart that Mr Cumberton had no source of income.

He was remanded to appear again before Cloverhill court next Friday, 3rd June.
