Judge begins charge in Shane Rossiter murder trial

A 15-year-old boy has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a school principal

Ms Justice Deirdre Murphy has begun her charge in the trial of a Tipperary man accused of shooting Shane Rossiter on October 17 2012.

Maurice Power (31) of Dranganbeg, Kilmoyler, Cahir has pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Rossiter (29) in Tipperary.

The prosecution alleges the accused fired two shots at Mr Rossiter causing him catastrophic injuries, which lead to his death.

The trial resumes this afternoon.
