Ireland star Anthony Stokes pleads guilty to 2013 assault of Elvis impersonator

Irish international footballer Anthony Stokes will be sentenced next month in relation to a nightclub assault on an Elvis impersonator.
Mr Stokes (27) of Claremont Terrace, Glasgow, Scotland pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assault causing harm to Anthony Bradley at Buck Whaleys on Leeson St., Dublin city on June 8, 2013.
The case had been listed for trial on November 22 next and was due to last two days.
Diarmuid Collins BL, prosecuting, asked the court to vacate the trial date and for a victim impact report to be prepared.
Judge Melanie Greally set a sentence date of December 20th next when facts will be heard in the case and remanded Stokes on continuing bail.
