Gardaí granted two more days to question men over Regency Hotel shooting

Two men arrested in connection with the Regency hotel shooting have had their periods of detention extended.
The pair, aged 59 and 38, were brought to Dublin District court last night where gardaí applied for and were granted an extra 48 hours to question them.
They were arrested last Tuesday, May 17 under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 in connection with the murder of David Byrne at a boxing weigh-in, in the Regency Hotel, Dublin last February 5.
Under the act gardaí have up to seven days to question suspects.
A third man is still being questioned by gardaí about Byrne's murder.
