Former Tyrone football star and BBC GAA pundit Owen Mulligan cannot be expected to travel from his home for a court hearing in Kerry again, a court has heard.
Mr Mulligan (33) of Church Street, Cookstown, Co Tyrone, was in Listowel District Court to answer charges that he refused to give a blood or urine sample to gardaí, after he had been arrested on suspicion of drink driving on August 29.
The court has heard he intends to contest the matter. The State yesterday sought an adjournment.
Mr Mulligan's solicitor John O'Dwyer said it was "late in the day" when he was notified of the adjournment. "He can't be expected to travel down a second time," Judge James O'Connor said, adjourning the matter.
