Four charged with murder over blaze that killed family
POLICE in England have charged four people with murder following the fatal house fire which claimed the lives of the wife and children of an Irish-based doctor.
A 16-year-old youth, two 19-year-old men and a 24-year-old man have are due to appear before Leicester Magistrates' Court today.
They have been charged with the murder of the family of Dublin-based Dr Muhammad Taufiq al Sattar.
Dr al Sattar's wife, Dr Shehnila Taufiq, their daughter Zainab (19), and sons Bilal (17) and Jamal (15) all died following a suspected arson attack on their home at Wood Hill in Leicester on September 13.
Dr al Sattar, a prominent neurosurgeon who works in a number of Dublin hospitals, was in Ireland when he learned of the deaths.
An 18-year-old man who was charged with murder last week is due to appear in court at a later date.
