Paul Pugh (56), of Clontarf Road, Dublin, is charged with disclosing confidential information contrary to Section 7 of the 2009 National Assets Management Agency Act. He appeared before Judge Michael Walsh at Dublin District Court.

He was arrested at Pearse Street Garda station on Wednesday. His charge states that on or about June 6, 2012, he intentionally disclosed by email to a named individual at Connaught and Whitehall Capital UK Ltd confidential information relating to McCabe Builders (UK) Ltd, and he was not authorised or obliged to do so.

Judge Michael Walsh remanded Mr Pugh on bail in his own bond of €1,000 to appear again before the district court on July 27.
