A 30 year old Dublin man appeared in court today charged in connection with a €120,000 drugs seizure.

Scott Prendergast of Cappagh Road, Finglas, made no reply when charged under Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act at Dublin District Court.

Prendergast was arrested by the Garda National Drugs Unit on Friday after officers seized cannabis herb worth an estimated street value of €120,000 following a search of a car on the Naas Road in Dublin. Garda seized six kilograms of cannabis herb.

Detective Garda Liam Brennan made no objection to bail, but requested that certain conditions of bail be set. Judge Michael Coughlan granted Prendergast bail, but ordered him to pay a €1,000 surety to the court, sign on three times a week at his local garda station. The accused was also ordered to surrender his passport.
