Criminal's dad jailed over €100,000 tax bill

THE father of murdered crime boss Eamonn 'The Don' Dunne has been jailed over unpaid taxes and fines valued at more than €100,000.
Eamonn Dunne senior, from Blackhorse Grove in Cabra, Dublin is serving a sentence in Mountjoy that will last until Friday.
Dunne (66) appeared on the tax defaulters listings issued by Revenue last June.
He was fined €23,900 for seven charges of failure to lodge P35 returns, and €91,400 for 28 charges of not paying VAT returns.
Dunne was brought to Mountjoy yesterday after appearing at the Criminal Courts of Justice.
He was the director of a company called Dunmar Security Ltd, with a registered address at his home off the North Circular Road.
It listed its principal business as investigation and security activities, the supply and installation of commercial and domestic security systems, CCTV systems, and security for festivals and private functions and well as consultancy services. The company was also capable of supplying security dogs.
Eamonn Dunne Jnr (34) was one of the most notorious and dangerous men in Dublin as a major drugs turf war was being fought across the capital.
