Brothers in court over death threat

Two Limerick brothers were remanded in custody today after being charged with threatening to kill another man.

Kieran Collopy, 34, and Damien Collopy, 20, both of St Ita's Street, St Mary's Park, face a number of charges over the alleged incident last week.



Limerick District Court heard both men are accused of trespassing at an address at St Senan's Street, St Mary's Park, last Wednesday in a manner that would cause fear to another.



At the same address, they are alleged to have threatened to kill or cause serious harm to Willie Moran.



The charges were brought under section five of the Non-fatal Offences Against the Person Act.



Kieran Collopy faces an extra charge of assaulting Willie Moran.



The court heard they made no reply to the charges.



Both men were remanded in custody until Wednesday, when they are to appear again before Limerick courthouse.
