Boy (15) hid drugs inside Kinder egg, court told
A 15-YEAR-OLD Dublin boy was found with €1,000 worth of cocaine and heroin concealed in his Kinder Surprise chocolate egg, a court heard yesterday.
The boy, now 16, has been charged at the Children's Court with possessing cocaine and heroin for the purpose of sale or supply when he was searched on December 12 last.
He also faces a separate charge for possessing €3,500 worth of crack cocaine and heroin on February 24 last year.
Yesterday, Judge Heather Perrin accepted jurisdiction to keep the case in the Children's Court, which can impose a maximum one-year term and a fine for possessing controlled drugs for unlawful sale or supply.
The case was adjourned for three weeks to give the boy some time to consider his plea.
The judge also made an order for disclosure of the prosecution's evidence to the defence.
The boy was remanded on continuing bail.
