ANOTHER motor theft charge has been brought against a youth accused of taking part in a mini-crime wave in Dublin last month.

The 17-year-old boy had been remanded in custody last week after he was charged with burglary of a house Ardara Avenue, Donaghmede, north Dublin and theft of a car from the same location, on July 26.

The Dublin Children's Court had heard that he was also charged with interfering with another car at Sutton Park, north Dublin, on July 23 last and he had been arrested for a number of offences five days in a row.

An additional charge has now been brought against the teenager for unlawful use of a stolen car at Baskin Lane, Cloghran, in north County Dublin on June 22.

Judge Ann Ryan also heard that further charges could be brought against the boy in connection with this incident.

The teenager, who is being held in St Patrick's Institution, was remanded to appear again on August 21 next. The boy, who has been assigned legal representation, has not yet indicated how he will plead to his charges and the venue for his trial has yet to be decided.
