PauL Costelloe has updated his 'golfers' wives'' short mac in his new collection which goes on sale today at Arnotts in Dublin.

"This is a short mac I originally did for the Ryder Cup. I thought it looked really well on the wives of the European players so I updated it," said Costelloe, who is back on fashion rails after a break of two years.

Prices in the 28-piece capsule collection range start at €150 and run to €495, for the white belted mac – which is reminiscent of a motorbike jacket, with lots of pockets and a high funnel neckline.

The collection carries many of Costelloe's signature flourishes, from hacking jackets with deep pockets to well-cut linen trousers, feminine workwear suits in wrinkle-free jersey, and shift dresses with inbuilt sexy tailoring.

Off to Turkey today, Costelloe will not be at Cheltenham but Zara Phillips has requested two of his coats for the festival: a cream one, and a dramatic high-necked red wool one that stole the show at his recent AW13 show at London Fashion Week.

Meanwhile, TK Maxx yesterday showcased discounted looks with this season's key trends, from graphic prints to monochromes and springtime florals.
