Confusion and frustration among commuters as Bus Eireann strikes enter 18th day
Confusion and frustration continues this morning as Bus Eireann workers enter the 18th day of all-out strike action.
Talks involving the unions and the company were scheduled to resume at 10am today as hopes grew tentatively last night that the dispute may be close to a resolution.
Commuters on social media have shared their confusion early this morning as Bus Eireann confirmed that buses would yet again not be operating.
Others expressed frustration wondering how to get refunds, what other transport was available to them and when they can expect Bus Eireann services to resume.
User Jack Mulcahy questioned who he should contact about being compensated for the eight days he was unable to travel on his monthly bus ticket.
Many commuters also took to Twitter to ask if the strike was necessary and why nothing has been done to solve the crisis.
