Commuters are being advised to take extra care on the roads this morning as wet road conditions have led to two early morning collisions.

AA Roadwatch is reminding drives to take care especially in the midlands and east, where wet road conditions have been reported.

In Cork, there is a collision between Killeagh and Youghal, just outside the townland of Fanisk. Motorists are warned to expect delays.

According to AA Roadwatch, there is also a collision in Limerick. The Ennis Road is closed from Clondrinagh roundabout to Coonagh roundabout after the crash. Diversions are in place.

Meanwhile in Dublin, traffic is busy this morning on St John's Road West from SCR junction to Heuston Station. It's also busy along the North Quays from Wolfe Tone Quay to Bachelors Walk.

Travelling in from Fairview, delays start from Edge’s Corner to Five Lamps on Amiens Street.

On the M50 southbound, traffic is slow from J6 Blanchardstown to J10 Ballymount. Northbound traffic is slow from J12 to J11 Tallaght.
