Commuters experience major delays on Irish Rail services due to signal fault
Commuters using train services are experiencing major delays to and from the capital this evening.
Irish Rail have confirmed delays of up to 45 minutes due to a signal cable fault on the line at Monasterevin.
Delays ongoing to services to/from Heuston due to signal cable fault at Monasterevin, approx 40 to 45 mins at present.— Iarnród Éireann (@IrishRail) July 21, 2015
Dublin-Portlaoise services are currently terminating at Newbridge, Kildare and customers are transferring to Intercity bus services.
There are also delays on Dart services between Pearse Street and Drogheda due to a mechanical fault.
Commuters are currently being delayed by approximately 25 minutes.
