The 'Clash of the Clans' boxing event has been pulled following a fatal shooting at the weigh-in this afternoon.
Boxnation confirmed the card was pulled shortly after the incident at the Regency Hotel on Dublin's northside.
The incident occurred at approximately 2.30pm as the 'Clash of the Clans' weigh-in was taking place.
A statement on the Irish-Boxing.com website reads: "After the much publicised incident at the Regency Hotel both cards scheduled for Dublin this weekend have been canceled.
"It’s sad news for Dublin fight fans, who were looking forward to a fight fest over the two days.
"It’s also frustrating for the likes of Jamie Kavanagh, Stephen Ormond, Declan Geraghty, Anthony Fitzgerald, Craig O’Brien, Sean Creagh who were scheduled to fight on Saturday and Sean Turner, Ciaran Mullen, Luke Keeler an d Steve Collins Jr, who were excited about appearing on Friday night in the Roadstone."
One man was left dead after three gunmen stormed the hotel. The men were dressed in 'Garda ERU' gear.
Two other men are in a serious condition in hospital but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
